At Makers Workshop, kids will be taught different life-skills as well as several artisanal techniques from Mexico. They’ll learn the basics of sewing and practice making age appropriate projects. We’ll also play around with paper mache, piñata making and simple wooden projects. No previous experience with Spanish is required, but if your camper wants to get exposure and get to know the language, there will be plenty of opportunities to do so. For those students who are trying to practice their Spanish, instructions and conversation will be in Spanish for them. We believe that language is a social skill and that children learn best while 'doing' and 'creating' something with their hands. In addition to all the creativity we'll have regular morning walks to the Davis arboretum.  

Camp / Cancellation policies:
a) Switching camp dates is allowed and free of cost until April 1st, 2025, provided there is space in the desired camp.
b) If a cancellation is needed, there will be a full refund (minus a $30 processing fee), until March 15th, 2025.
c) Cancellations between March 2 -31 can use the credit toward another service; whether summer camp or one of our regular Fall-Spring classes. 
d) There's a 15-minute pick up window after camp is dismissed. Late pick-ups after the 15 minute window will incur in a $20/10 minutes past this time frame.
